I have an opprtunity to buy a GG&G cantilever Aimpoint mount very cheap.  I was wondering what anyone thought of them or opinions.  I'm not sure how securely they attach to the receiver.  Thanks, Jim

It's a very good mount.  Usess a wing nut on the attachment & mine (hers, really) has never come loose unless she wanted it off.  It also has a spare battery cap & a compartment underneath to store an extra.  Good stuff.

I have one, and like it very much.
Good height for co-witnessing with the irons.
Good, solid construction and return to zero after removing/replacing.
Allows forward placement of the sight, while still being mounted to the receiver and not the forend rail.
As noted above, has spare battery compartment.
Easy to take off/put on.
