I would like to purchase and mount an Eotech 551 on a flat top upper with a KAC RAS II.  Will the hump obstruct the view if the Eotech is mounted directly to the reciever top or on the forend?  Would a mount such as the LaRue help things out?  I do not need to worry at this time about co-witnessing as the gun has no FSB or BUIS.  Any help from those out there with a lot more knowledge than me?

It will cowhitess just fine, the only thing the hump gets it the way of is mounting it right there(were the hump is). If you mount it on the hump, it will NOT cowhitness. Mount it on the forend, the RAS II forend is rock solid and it will cowhitness there. You can't mount it on the receiver w/ a BUIS, not even the N-cell EOTechs will fit when the RAS II is in place. The RASII was made for the Aimpoint and the ACOG, but the EOTech works just fine with one.

I have no RAS (yet) and have my EOTech mounted as far forward on the receiver as it will go but would like to inch it out a bit more.  I'd also like it to be a bit higher.  Seems like the hump would be perfect for me.

Anyone got pix of an EOTech humping a RAS II?
