Has anyone done that?

I'm looking for a BUIS, and a cheap solution for a fixed BUIS with range adjustments is a cut carry handle.

What if the bottom part of the carry handle is let intact, so that it could become a riser for a scope?

I have a cheap Tasco 4x20 I was planning to use until I could afford an EOTech (or whatever). But I know it would need a riser.

Any opinions?

I still have to measure and see how much riser I would need, and then check out scope eye relief, etc. But has anyone done this before?
