Maybe a stupid question, because I know the rail is designed to work with the GG&G MAD BUIS,
but how about a STD #40, or #40L?

If it does work, anyone have a pic?

Thanks.

Wes,
Thanks for the reply… (my first really good chuckle of the day).
Do you think the blast will totally vaporize both me, and the rifle?

What do you recommend?
I was looking at the A.R.M.S. #38 Ex Swan Sleeve, but was thinking that the “built in” BUIS may interfere with eyepiece on the scope I’m planning to use (Leupold 56070 in ARMS #22M rings).

Thanks Wes.

Anyone else have input?

IIRC, I tried an ARMS #40 behind this GG&G Scout FIRE Rail and it didn't fit.  I had to go with the ASA MAD, which is a copy of the GG&G MAD.  I am 99% sure I tried the ARMS #40, but I can remember for sure.  I just remember I had to go to this BUIS because other didn't fit.  I believe I tried a Troy rear and a KAC 300m as well - neither fit.

Mongo – that pic helps.

I may be able to piece these components together by sliding the GG&G rail forward 1 notch to allow room for my ARMS#40…as long as the rail still clears my FF tube (and attaches securely).

Thanks for the confirmation.

Did you have it located as shown above on mongo001’s upper?
Or, did you have to slide it fwd (a notch or 2) to make room for the #40?

That was quick.
Nice pics, that answers my original question perfectly!

But now I’m curious, why did both of you move away from the GG&G rail?
Have any complaints?

Thanks for the info.

I did research the SIR(#59), but don't think it will work for my current application.
