Hey all,
I have a Aimpoint on the way (Thanks Grant!) and I was wondering how best to make sure it's mounted "true".  I've done scopes before, but they're kinda easy, because you have a reticle you can use to make sure everything's "right".  What do you do for a dot sight?  Just eyeball it and have it be "good enough"?  I was thinking of putting a mini-level rested on top of the elevation knob or something.  Any recommendations?

Thanks
Rich

I just eyeballed mine. With a 4 moa dot, the Aimpoint isn't exactly a precision optic. Mounting it off a few minutes will not matter.

Yeah, I know that, BUT the Monk in me just can't seem to let it slide.  Know what I mean?

its easy enough to get it right by eyeballing it.

give it a shot, then if it doesnt pass muster, try a mini level, and let us know how it went..

Make sure your rifle is level first!!!
