I just inherited my Grandfather's Savage .22 Bolt gun.  I am looking for an inexpensive Optic for it.

By inexpensive, I mean under $200, preferably under $100.00

Must have 1" tube and 35-40mm objective lens.

Any suggestions?

Looking at Leupold Vari X 1s, Burris, but they are $200.00 & 3-9.

I would like a fixed 4X scope.

For a 22, I'd buy a 22 scope made by:

1st choice: Weaver or Bushnell

2nd choice: Simmons

Leupolds are not considered inexpensive-but they ARE worth the money.

Are there differences betweena regular scope and a .22 scope?

Weaver rimfire 2-7 is best low line rimfire I know of. Rimfire scopes are parralax set to yds.

No but they may take different ring mounts.
