Hey everyone.

Looking for some insight or experience.  I can't quite decide what to put on my M16A4 clone.  It has a Bushmaster 20" gov't profile w/ 1/7 twist.  The trigger group is standard, I may upgrade later, maybe not though.  I will be using a Troy MRF and bipod w/ it.  I built this as a midrange gun, out to 300m or so.  I expect maybe 1.5-2" at 100m w/ this gun.  I punch paper a little, but my guns are for buisness, mostly man sized targets or at least man head sized targets.

$$$ is a factor here.  I have been looking at either IOR M2 4X w/ CQB reticle or an Eotech.  My only experience w/ optics is my Aimpoint that's on my M4, and a $100 4X Russian scope that broke in 2 days on my FAL.

So, do you all think I need the 4X power out at 300-400m, or is the 1moa dot of the Eotech sufficient?  I have used the Eotech, and admit the little dot was quite accurate for me at 100m.  Plus, you see pics of Army snipers using the Eotech on M1As in Iraq....if it works for them.
