How high above the rail is the EoTech aperture?  I'm considering one for my shotgun, but I'm worried that the aperture might be a bit too high with the buttons and housing below along the rail.

SMGLee hit it right on the  head about the heads up stance.  I just mounted my 512 to a new SOCOM16 (no, nothings gone tits up yet lol) and once I got used to using my chin as a weld reference point I realized that I prefer the "heads up" that the EO reticle forces me to use.
