Out of curiosity, if you have no idea what it is or where to get one, how do you know that you want to buy one? Is famous/movie/spec ops/cool factor your only requirements or would you also like functional, reliable, affordable or any of the other practical application criteria?

I knew the guys that put the package together, they went out and got plastic mock for all their plasic guns. the real Aimpoints and PVS14s came from GG&G to mold the mock ups.
Consultant can only tell the director what they should do, and director take that advise and run with it. along the way, lots of hollywood directors modify the advise and out comes a moive like Teats of the sun. |

That maybe a ATN scope, but I cannot find it on their website or any other. And yes, I think it looks cool. I didn't know what my Aimpoint or my NSN ACOG would be like either, but I took the plunge and slapped down the cash, alot of cash, and was pleased. We never know.

Well, some people have mounted the cantilever mount backwards. They just usually turn the Aimpoint around the right way when they do that.

If you watch hollywood at all you know they do the dumbest crap with firearms. My favorite is the machine-gun sound (I think it's a repeating burst from an M60) that you always hear when they show GAU-2's. Only time I've seen it right was Predator 2 - at least the sound was right. |
