Was it made by the people that annodize AR components purple?
 Probably an explanation for it, you aren't supposed to look at it that way. I have noticed on other scopes that crosshairs appear to be different colors too. Could it be a prizm type effect caused by the lens(es)? |

well, it isnt the normal color change, but it kind of blurs and doubles?
And the shadows are purplish? |

It's because it uses an etched reticle instead of a separate wire reticle. Wires can break or bend and distort, but an etched (into the lens) reticle will always stay exactly the same.
