Zak,
Wes and I have had several of these for awhile (the 2.5-10x version), doing our eval first. We have the 1-4x coming too but not for a little while longer, so says NF-USA. So far they show some promise. They come with four reticle choices. NP-R2 and the short-range mil-dot for more precise work and a couple new ones for when you are in a hurry.
Like all NF scopes, they are built like little tanks. 17 ounces is listed for both of these. Still about 20% smaller and lighter than the 1-4 S&B, and a good bit cheaper too. The 1-4 may make a great 3-gun optic, weight notwithstanding. The 2.5-10 is going to find a home on lots of SPR's and other mid-range precision platforms.
The 2.5-10 should be usable as an occluded sight too. I haven't shot it that way, yet but plan to soon. The reticle is very bright, even in daylight when not looking directly through the tube, and reticle goes to black when you focus through it. Will be very cool if short range parallax is not severe.
I'll put up more when we have pertinent data
