i have a 2.8x10x44 simmons aetec that i want to mount on my RRA flattop carbine this fall for some coyote hunting.it has leupold mounts on it right now.what is a cheap effective way to mount it?will 1/2 " risers be all that is necessary?that would be more than sufficient as far as the obj. clearing the weapon but will the leupold ring mounts mount to the riser?help?

A really cheap, solid way to do that would be with a RRA one piece mount.  It would certainly get that Aetec's objective high enough to not have to worry about anything.

I think these are still only about $50 shipped.
