ARGH !  (frustration!)

I want to mount a front sight on my 16" carbine barrel using a barrel band type front sight riser.  This is to maximize the sight radius AND because my eyes ain't what they used to be.

I found a Lipski barrel band type riser that fits my facotry barrel (0.922" diameter) but I need a sight for it.  I hesitate to use a target-type front globe because the mounting method seems weak.

Any ideas on what to use?  If I use a globe front, who makes a robust, steel one?

There is a Competition Forum here with guys that shoot Match Rifle class High Power, perhaps that would be a better place to ask.

Me I'd pull out my Champions' Choice catalogue and call the guys there, as they sell all types of match rifle sights......, sorry but I ain't up on 'em.
