Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - BMAS Triple mount get really hot?

I'm thinking of adding a BMAS triple mount in front of the front sight for a laser/flashlight.  

Does this get really hot and transfer heat to your accessories during rapid fire?  

Also does anyone make a mount that attaches to the top rail, but lets you attach things low and to the side, below the sight plane?

Triple mount is a bad idea.  You should never hang anything off your barrel.

That is why they make handguards with rails (floating & non floating - cheap and expensive).

Pick one.
