Simple question, hopefully.

Will the ARMS #40A BUIS fit under an ACOG (more specifically the TA31F) on a flattop? I have heard the "A" variant of that BUIS is a bit higher than the regular version, and may be too tall, but so far I haven't been able to get a concrete answer regarding this.

Thanks!

It probably wont fit with the A variant.

The standard 40 clears with a 19S mount by a hair.

Thank you for the reply.

Right now I don't actually have either, but I'm getting ready to purchase an ACOG and BUIS to go with it. It would be nice if I could get by with the TA51 mount that comes with it, but I will keep in mind the two others you mentioned. Atleast I can get the #40A and not have to worry about it being unusable once I get the ACOG.

Thanks again.

Actually the TA51 mount sits lower than the ARMS 19 or 19S.  It MIGHT clear, but thats not guaranteed.

Well, in that case I guess I will look into the 19S. Maybe someone out there is/has tried using the #40A with the TA51 mount and can confirm whether it will work or not.

The 19A is not for the ACOG it is their universal rail with a combo of dovetail and STANAG all in one. Their 19Acog is for the Acog, the 19s is also for the Acog and other simular mounting type interfaces. I'd go with the 19s, or if you get one of their new #40L rear sights, anything will clear.

Another vote for just getting the #40L and not having to worry.  I just did...

Uh oh Mike, now you have to buy a new upper and lower to put that 40L on...  And I bet it will be GRAY!

So many uppers, so few lowers...sigh.

And Billbo is selling more large hole gray uppers - yikes!
