I'm thinking about getting a ACOG TA11 C or E for my Armalite carbine (308)

What's the difference between the ARMS 10 mount & the ARMS 19s & what one is "better"

The 19S is the current mount of choice [;)].  If you do a search there are a million threads discussing it.  Here's one with a few pics:

If I remember, the ARMS #10 uses the thumb nuts to mount and not the throw levers.  Most people (me included) like the throw levers for the quick detach and return to zero capability.

I prefer the ARMS 19S, simply because its compact.

That said...I HAVE ZERO EXPERIENCE WITH ANY OTHER MOUNTS.

The Trijicon TA51 mounts the scope slightly lower, but it is heavier than the #19S.

The 19S mounts the TA11 a TINY bit (.125") too high.  It is a minor annoyance but you should be aware none the less.  Its enough for me to consider the TA31 better than the TA11 I have been using because I like the 19S mount so much.  For an AR10 the TA31 is out of the question though.  Mount height vs quick detatch will be a decision for you to make for yourself.

Than's all!!!!!!!

Hummmmmm, so if I'm understanding this right the best of both worlds would be the TA11 C and the 19S.

Now if I could just figgure out if I want the donut or chevron reticle.

Any comments about the differnt reticles?

I have used all the reticles save the weird traingle circle reticle.  The TA11 on my rifle at the moment is triangle reticel and 19S.  Its too high and hard to use BAC style.  The donut is the only reticle where the BAC is easy and natural for me.  Donut is not quite as easy to get sub MOA 200 yard groups with but for general use the donut is better.  If you dont need super accuracy get the donut and 19S if you want more accuracy and lack speed get a lower mount thats not QD and the chevron reticle.

DevL... when was the last time you didn't have an issue with the height &/or eye relief of your optics???

Yeah, yeah one day I will.  For now I will just go with my contacts.  So you noticed how picky I am on optic placement eh?  My back ground is bolt guns growing up hunting and I was always taught you should close your eyes shoulder the rifle and open your eyes after a solid cheek weld.  The optic should be in the perfect position and you should not have to adjust.  To me there is no perfect optic out there yet for the AR platform.  They all have some nit picky issue for me.  I will be swapping the TA11 for a TA31 shortly.  I think it would be ironic if I end up with the TA31 as a favored optic since I have been a champion of the TA11 for so long.

Is having the extra throw lever of the 19 that much of an advantage to pay an extra $41 over the single throw lever 19S?  What's the benefit besides additional stability?

There is none really.
