So are you asking for something with a different flavor for the 14.5 upper? Which optic to put on it out of those you listed? What are you really asking?

hmm...Is the 14.5 w/Vortex a 1/9 twist? Is it already laid out for a flat-top? The way you mention optics sounds like it is. But if it was just a 1/9 twist 14.5 w/Vortex barrel, then I would put it with a C7 upper, you know the ones with brass deflector and forward assist, but A1 sights. Then I would put a TA47R-2 on top, M4 handguards, mate to a lower with a M4 stock on it. No reason to weigh that combo down with anything.
Of course, that is just if you asked for [b][i]my opinion[/i][/b] on it. [;)] |

Now, did you put the rifle length FF Ras on the 14.5? That would make an interesting rifle...
How about an Eotech? Seems well suited to the 14.5" barrel. |

bsbg I think it'll look like one of Wes' KAC mid-length FF RAS rifles, but with a shorter barrel. I think highly of the EOTech but don't care for its bulk, and I like some magnification, at least 3.5x, maybe I'll just get another TA31...

Shounds like the "new" rifle needs to have either the TA31 or TA11 donut off one of the other rifles and then pick up a Chevron for one of the longer rifles.

I went astray and bought an SN4, just because I wanted something different. I should have remembered that experience....another TA31 it is! |
