Looks intereting, but what would you hang on the side of a bolt gun? Maybe a PEQ, or something similar? If you had that mount and an illuminated scope that used a battery, someone could make a nifty little spare battery holder to mount on the side rail. Or maybe a holder for extra rounds similar to a side saddle for a shotgun?...just thinking out loud this morning.

I guess I am going to have to get up earlier...

Price is $500

They did indicate it would be cheaper if bought in larger lots.

Wes, any chance you've considered stocking this item? Your the lot man for products.

The PEQ2 laser will not work in a practical manor that close to the receiver on any hand held rifle/carbine, since the laser beam gets blocked by the thumb, sling. That's why you always see the lasers mounted out front.

I was thinking about an Aimpoint or compact EOTech actually.

Jack,
shooting prone my left thumb'd be holding the stock and I'd remove the sling , may be in this way the PEQ2A 'd be working lighting up the target.

I have seen it experimented with, and work some times, but as ya know, Murphys law, if it can happen, it will. For awhile some folks even thought putting the laser under the barrel was a great idea, untill the guys in the fiel told the lab guy's, that the laser in that position was a very bad idea. They get smashed up down there, and worst of all, the fighting better be on a well manicured golf course or on the moon, or the laser gets blocked by grass, rocks, etc. Talk about flash backs!:)
