Here it is a Leupold TS30 mounted on a MK12 SPR from a Navy SeaLs team operating here in Italy

Good Pic and a real SPR.  Crane seems to have a real stockpile of Hydramatic Lowers that they build all kinds of special weapons on.

Curious about the mounting position of the scope.  From what I have gathered here at AR15FCOM, having the scope mounted as far aft as the picture shows stimeys the usefulness of the weapon system.

Wes @ MSTN has stated in the past, he believes the TS30 to have a shorter eye relief than other Leupold tactical scopes, but I do not think this is the reason the scope is mounted this way.

Is the scope mounted in this fashion solely for the purpose of allowing the BUIS to be mounted?  Would not ARMS high rings be the way to go or use a Knights 300m BUIS?
