YEs, plenty stable to mount an Aipoint at any position you like and provided you get the appropriate mount for the Aimpoint, yes, you will be bale to co-witness perfectly. Which mount you should get will depend on where you mount the Aimpoint. Will you mount it to the raised bridge on the RAS II or on the handgaurd section over the barrel?

New-arguy, I think you mis-read his post. He has an A2 upper, not an A4 so the RAS II is no joy. You can mount an Aimpoint onto a RAS/RIS and it should be ok. I personally would not mount any optic on the RAS except for CQB work....
