Actually, the 19s is a little higher than the TA51.

The #19S is a tad bit higher than the TA51 to allow clearance of the ARMS #40.

I've noticed under normal shooting (utilizing a good sight picture,) I don't notice the front sight at all. YMMV, though.
Just my .02 Edited to concur w/ Duffy below, you will NOT miss the (IMHO, antiquated) thumbscrews. Throw levers rule. |

The little height it raises the ACOG isn't noticeable in terms of ghosting of the front sight, it will make a telling difference if you want to mount an ARMS #40 behind it, as Bart stated. KAC 300M won't care either way, but with the TA51+ARMS 40 combo the bottom of the scope is almost touching the top of the BUIS.
I got 19S for all of my ACOGs, can't deal with the thumb screws anymore. |
