should I use the medium or high, planning on putting a 40mm or 42mm scope.

med will put the scope just lower than the a2 sight picture. Highs will put it just above. Depends how big your head is I think!lol
I have a smaller head so for a good weld I need the MEDs.

If going directly off the receiver, then you need high rings.
