I just built #4 and it is a 20 inch Varminter. Since it has an elavated optical platform, I would like to mount a scope but still be able to use my fixed sights. Would see through mounts put it up to high to be comfortable? I was thinking of a variable power scope.

Well I needed to make a decision so I bought tall scope rings that allow you to use your fixed sights. They are just the right height. So in case your interested thats what you need. I ended up putting a BSA 4X16 scope on it and I do not care for the eyerelief at the higher magnifications. Probably not much to do about that except buy another scope.
