I am considering replacing just the "flip" portion of my rear iron sight on my A2 with one that will accept the interchangable aperatures. Is this hard to do or is it something I should leave for a good gunsmith?. This is for on a Bushmaster.

Thanks,
Steve

Changing the aperature is very simple. Just drive out the set pin in the windage knob, not all the way, just enough to clear the post. Remove the windage knob, being careful to catch the spring and detent, and unscrew the aperature from the post. Reassemble in reverse.

Thanks - so it is just like on the A1 I guess. I tried but I can't get the pin to move, I think I need a "real" drift.
