What bullet is this scope BDC'd for?

Anyone using this scope and how does the reticle compare to the other ACOG models?

TIA

M193 fired from 20" barrel, mounted on M16/AR15 carry handle mount (approx 3.5" from bore)

Don't worry too much about the BDC calibration; it will be plenty close enough for combat use, though you'd rarely ever get such a long shot anyway.

Ive been wondering when someone was going to make that point about the ACOGs and the BDC.  When am I going to shoot at anything at 600 yards?

I've shot the TA31 at 450 yards during BRC 2001. It was pretty fun. All the .50BMG and big bore/bolt action guys wee there sort of giggling when I came to the big guys line with a 14.5" M4. That is until we made the steel ring like a bell time after time after time.

New-arguy, what kind of ammo (and twist rate) were you using for that?

It was a bushy 1/9 twist M4 barrel with South African M193 man. I mean, the SIR, ACOG and JP Trigger helped, but it suprised even me.

There were numerous witnesses to this event and I even had one of the guys who went with me video it because I coulndt believe it. But after it was apparent it was easy to hit the approx. 1' x 1' black center of the target at 450 from prone, people started to tell me to try it from sitting, kneeling and eventually... off hand! The entire target was probably about 4' x 4'. From offhand I was able to smack the target say 7 out of 10 times. It sure was fun! Thats the furthest I have had the opportunity to shoot!

And a pic some other member took of me shooting at the 450 from kneeling.
