This is an old question undoubtedly.  I am looking for opinions on something in the 400 dollar range.  I already have an aimpointfor my carbine and now want to punch holes out to 150 yrds or so (range limited to this)  Please give me your feedback on what I should get for my new AR 20" A3 upper.

Thanks...

Punch holes in what at 150 yards?

People - no doubt an ACOG. $400 isn't enough but it's getting there. The IOR M2 is a nice scope for a 4x and runs $325. 4x or 5x is about all the power you want as you'll be shooting free standing.

Targets - $400 bucks will get you into Leupold's lower line. You'll want as much power you can get - 10x or better.

I bought a Bushnell Elite 3200 10X40 for my 16" RRA Varmint rifle.  Very accurate and I love the mil-dot reticle.

Its a very nice scope and you can get it for around $200 or so.

I can hit a coffee can at 300 yards everytime with it.
