Does anyone wear trifocals and use an ACOG with BAC? Do you need special prescription shooting glasses? What works best?

I'm a licenced optician.  What questions do you have?

I am 65 years old and wear progressive trifocal glasses. This makes it difficult to get a fast good alignment with the optics. If I have my head down too far I am using the top of my glasses (which is the far vision) and if my head is up too high I would be using the medium or reading part of the glasses. So head and eye placement easily affects my vision.

I have read that ACOG’s have short eye relief and a small exit pupil. Also I don’t know how having both eyes open for BAC would be with glasses.

I have inquired on mail order prescription shooting glasses but they seem to be for shot gunners shooting clays. I don’t know how that would work for my use. Also, if I had prescription shooting glasses made would single vision or bifocals be best?

I've got a pair of Wiley-X shooting/safety/sun glasses for which I'm looking into ordering prescription lenses.  http://www.wiley-x.com

That said, I'm finding eye relief with my new ACOG isn't as big a deal as I thought it would be.  Sometimes the reticle is more clear, sometimes the target, but it seems like the eye relief range at which I can get one or both to align is pretty wide.  Stalking around my house with it, I'm now wondering what is supposed to be clear.  Is it the sight or the target?
