Hmmmm...I have mine on a TA-60 but that looks interesting. Looks like it sits lower than my TA-60. Can anyone verify?

Not only does it sit lower than a TA60 but it sits lower than the iron sights normal height. The short eye relief combined with the extra low mounting height of a 3X ACOG / 19S combo in front of an ARMS 40 is somewhat annoying to me but I have a big ol' mellon head.

I've got mine mounted on the TA-60 also.
The annoying thing about the TA-60 is it won't butte up against the ARMS#40 like the ARMS19 will. If they just trimmed a bit off the ends you could get it back one full notch. Plus it would lighten up the mount (which is almost as heavy as the darn scope). |

Just a few questions... What magnification compact is that & do you find that you have sufficient eye relief? Is that as far back as a TA60 mount will go with the ARMS BUIS installed? Thanks again. |

The compacts come in a variety of magnifications (which also influences eye-relief) and reticule patterns. I have a 3x TA50-2. As mounted above I find it barely useable with the A1 length stock. Its not bad from prone - but going from low ready or 'duck walking' makes it difficult to use. With the Stubby stock and a 1" extension the scope is far more usable for me no matter the position. |

Can you elaborate on the "stubby stock with 1" extension" comment? Do you mean a 1" stock extension, or an extension over the receiver that mounts the ACOG forwards 1 more inch?

Someone should suggest to ARMS about making a spacer for the 19S to get the compact ACOGs up to the proper height on a flat top. This way, they don't have to make a whole new mount.

FALBert: Been there; done that. I mounted my comp ACOG on a 19S, with the 19S backwards (throw lever on the right), on top of a #38, on top of a flattop. Eye relief is SO much better than the typical mount, and height over bore is comfortable and very workable. If I ever figure out how, I'll post a pic.

Here's a pic of my Special Ring Compact ACOG, medium ring;
