I have a TA01NSN on my M4 and I have to mount it on the rearmost position on the flat-top's rail for the eye relief to be just right for me.  How does the eye-relief of these two optics compare?  Also, what about field of view?  And, does the TA31 have tritium illuminated reticle for use in the dark like the TA01NSN has?

I really like the TA31f's reticle presentation better than the TA01NSN's.  I'm trying to figure out if I want to sell the TA01NSN to get a TA31f, or just save up for a TA31f.

Thanks,

Ted

TA01NSN:

Magnification:    4X
Eye Relief:       1.5 in
Exit Pupil:       8 mm
Field of View:    7.0 degrees
Length:           5.8 in
Weight:           9.9 oz
Field of View:    36.8 ft at 100 yds
Adjustment:       3 clicks per inch at 100 yds

TA31F:

Magnification:    4X
Eye Relief:       1.5 in
Exit Pupil:       8 mm
Field of View:    7.0 degrees
Length:           5.8 in
Weight:           9.9 oz
Field of View:    36.8 ft at 100 yds
Adjustment:       3 clicks per inch at 100 yds.

As you can see, the specs are indentical for the two.

The TA31's chevron is tritium illuminated but the ranging stadia lines are not.

Be advised, TA31F's are very difficult to find right now so be prepared for a long wait.

I used to have a NSN.

I definately prefer the 31F.

Try SWFA thats were I found mine about a month ago.

Have tried the TA11, and found while it is larger / lower power / less field of view, liked the eye relief.
