I'm looking for a quality spotting scope for under $500 that will enable me to see 30 cal holes from 300-500 yds.Any suggestions??

Check e-bay and gunfinder listings.  I found a leupold used for $500. It had some wear marks but functions perfectly and has the lifetime war.  There were a number of others makes offered that were nice deals as well.  Give it a week or two and you will more than likely find a nice deal - that is if you don't mind used equipment.
