Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - scope suggestions

Im looking for a scope for my AR , one that wont break the bank but I would like it to have decent magnification, mount on the flattop, pref have a bullet drop compensation, i guess something like the Trijicon or dragunov style but nothing outrageous in price.
what is out there and what do you suggest.

Trijicon ACOG TA31A....Best general purpose.
Leupold Long Range M1 scopes for more precision work.
Schmidt & Bender Police Marksman II if you want the very best.
Eotech, Aimpoint, Trijicon compact ACOG or  Trijicon Tripower (not available just yet) for fast, up close & personal type work.
Irons if you have good eyes & a beer budget.
