There are many optics I would recomend over the Elcan. There are not many I would recomend over the ACOG. I say ACOG, but then again, you all knew I would.

Already have a TA01,TA11, am considering the TA55 for one of my Ar's or HK 93. Primarily used for coyote hunting. I know it's heavier but was looking for a little more magnification. Anyone else have a TA55. Thanks.

What's the price difference between the two?
I've used both Elcans and ACOGs, and I like the ACOG better but around here the Elcan is cheaper by several hundred dollars than the ACOG. The Elcan is still a very nice sight IMHO. Deciding what the best value for the money is, is always the hardest choice... |
