I own a flat-top.  I was told and do believe this might be the expensive scope for me.  Purpose is to shoot 50-250 yards.  Questions:

1)  Do I go chevron, donut, other?

2)  Best place to purchase for best price knowing I am price sensitive and in NO HURRY.  Stress-NO HURRY and PRICE SENSITIVE.

INput very much appreciated.  I am going to mount on my 16" M4.  Also, may be useful if I get a 20" flat-top.

*Generally speaking*, I usually recomend folks who plan on doing a lot of close quarters type shooting and a little longer range work look into the donut. If the opposite is true and you plan to do mostly mid to longer range shooting, look at the Chevron.

I started off with the Donut and ended up with the chevron. The Donut just wasnt as precise as I wanted it to be.

Still a great reticle though just not for my intended purpose.I got my TA-31F from SWFA for $935.The F model came with the TA-51 flat top mount also, but I went with the Arms #19s.
