Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - cantilever with tasco red dot ?

I havent saved up for my aimpoint yet, but I would like to get shooting.  I have millet and  tasco pro-point 30mm red dot scopes.  Can I go ahead and buy a aimpoint cantilever mount and use one of these scopes until I get the Aimpoint?  Im not sure if the outside diameter of all these are the same.
