Today at work they are having a 228th Birthday Cake cutting ceremony as well as demonstrations and displays of the Air Warrior and Land Warrior systems. They had the mannequins with all the gear on, a couple of Army E4s demoing the gear. They had the helmet with the eyepiece attached to the camera, laser target designators, night vision, etc. That stuff was alright, but the cool table had an M4 with the LSS and an Aimpoint attached. Nice little package, but beat up from the touring circuit. You guys should have seen all the newbies, civilian AND military, picking it up with their fingers going right to the trigger. Some late-40s female gov desk jockie picks it up and swings it around 180 degrees sweeping all. I instinctually bobbed out of the way. Also on the table were various scopes and sights as well as the...Trijicon TA31F. This was the first time I saw one in real life. Nice and compact, but a bit longer than I thought it was. Today is slightly overcast, but that little chevron was bright as can be! I loved it and am now hooked. Must...get...ACOG...
