Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Where on rail to mount scope?

I having been using an EOTech 511a65/1 on a flattop 14.5" Bushmaster for the last couple of months.  I have always just mounted the scope right at the end of the rail towards the stock.

It just hit me the other day I never found out if I have the scope in the "correct" position.

Is there a "right way" to mount a HUD scope?

It's really user preference, but I tend to like them as far forward on the flattop as I can get it.  It's easier using both eyes open in this config for me.
