I want to mount a conventional tube scope with a 40mm objective on my Bushy 20" flat top. I am considering getting the Armalite one piece mount.

I was hoping someone here has used this mount and could tell me a few things. First, how's the height of this mount in regard to cheek weld? Second, height in regard to the front site? I was told here earlier that the front site will not obstruct my view thru the scope. I hope this is true. The mag range is 3x - 10x.

I guess what I'm asking is if this mount is a good way to go for me or should I be considering another mounting option. Thanks as always for any suggestions offered.

Troy is on it dbshabo. I use an Armalite 1pc with a 3x-9x on an M4. For me, it felt way tight on the receiver. I added an ARMS 38 and the mount now is .46" higher. Feels great and accuracy is 100%. As for the front sight, I don't see it, whether at 3x or 9x.

That would be the way to go.  Here is one on my 24" Bushy flat-tap, Varminter,  with a Leupold LR Tact M1, 4.5x14 50mm scope:

I've got the Armalite with a 4-16x42 and it works great.  By my measurements it's about 1/8" lower than the irons, but cheek weld is still good.

The RRA mount appears to be about 1/2" taller than the Armalite.

If you purchased a Armalite A4. You get the mount free. FYI.

If I put the Armalite 1" mount on a #38 standard, would the eye bell clear the rear sight? (Leupold 3.5-10x40//1.6"eye bell dia.)

Or should I get a K's 300m ? will that fit behind the Armalite mount?

Is there an old Armalite mount and one newer that is higher.

Thanks for the info

38 will raise it too high.  Use the 600 for a precision rifle IMHO not the 300.
