what is the best mount for aimpoint ML2 on a A2 colt R6601. would like to stay with an ARMS product unless there is something else.

Most folks mount the AIMPOINT forward of the carry handle via the gooseneck rail mount pictured here--->

The # 39 is a lot more stable than others as it locks to the carry handle in two places.

I forgot to mention that the mount shown will not hold zero and has been a problem to the military from day one. It also has only one notch and limits what you can put on it. It is a very cheaply made item and isn't worth the price they charge. The ARMS mount replaced it in a lot of units.
