Several officers have asked me about the Gilmore sight. One deputy purchased one for his Armalite flattop, and I installed it for him. The unit seems OK, but I have a little concern about the aluminum Leupold rings. They seem awfully light for a rifle used primarily for entries on drug raids, search warrants, manhunts, etc. Has anyone out there had enough experience with those rings to comment on their durability, especially with rough handling? I already told him he should put a rail with BUIS on the rifle, just in case.
