After pricing original vintage Colt scopes (3x20, 4x20, etc.) I've seen a lot of copies like "Leapers" and NcStar. Any opinions? What about your favorite sight/scope? Its for a near-mint condition early model 20" Colt SP1 in "Coltguard" electroless nickle pre-forward assist.

You will find that in most, if not all, instances that you get what you pay for when it comes to Optics. I had one of the cheap Colt scope knock offs and it was basicly junk. Zero wondered, no positve "clicks" on the windage and elevation and the FOV was too narrow. Besides, why put a $30 piece of glass on a $1500 weapon?
