I wanted a flat top and I wanted a camo rifle so, I opted for bushmasters A3 realtree camo AR.
my problem is I have a 6x24 50mm Tasco that I would like to mount. But what about that big front sight that will be dead center of the scope? Suggestions on mounts would be helpful. Or did I just make $900 mistake. The hacksaw in the garage has crossed my mind.

Thanks in advance

Go ahead and mount the scope - you won't notice the front sight.

Forest is right, you won't see the front sight even though it's "physically" in front of the objective.  A 50mm objective is on the big size, so you'll probably need Extra High rings.
