Just thought I let you know my inital feedback/results on my mission to obtain a decent scope with magnification for under $200, for hunting crows with my new flat-top Colt Comp Match HBar.

I went with the Leapers 3-9 x 28 tactical-style scope (from Tapco.com). Its a good looking unit, seems okay for the price. Mounted it on the carry handle, mainly because I wanted to still be able to use my iron sights for quick close in shots, which I can since the leapers has a see-thru design on the mounting pad.

After 60 minutes of sight in at 100 yards I was plinking the tops off of bottles on 1st shot. I cant do that with my iron sights.

Total cost= $74.

Plus the system still fits in my gun case without removing the scope.

I'm satisfied for what i spent and the improved shooting performance I am seeing......okay now off the find a crow.
