I think you can dye the clear ones.

I had 2 of the original blue Lancer a few years ago. A member here traded me a stripped Aero upper/lower Freedom set set for the 2.
I believe I came out pretty good on the deal.  Would like to get a few more blue ones though. |

One of our members (can't see who now in the new sanitized version of the Archives) started a good thread about dying clear Lancers (which are readily available). It's not hard to do - that's how Redcon is making theirs. I'd recommend trying it out yourself:

I definitely didn’t use enough dye, so I tried tripling the amount (from 1 to 3 TBSP in about a quart of water) about 30 min into it, but it didn’t help much. I’ll try again tomorrow with a stronger solution from the start. |
