I think you can dye the clear ones.

Edit:

I knew I had seen something about it.

Here's someone from reddit talking about it and posting pics of their mags.

I had 2 of the original blue Lancer a few years ago. A member here traded me a stripped Aero upper/lower Freedom set set for the 2.
I believe I came out pretty good on the deal.

Would like to get a few more blue ones though.

One of our members (can't see who now in the new sanitized version of the Archives) started a good thread about dying clear Lancers (which are readily available). It's not hard to do - that's how Redcon is making theirs. I'd recommend trying it out yourself:

Turns out you can dye clear lancers (updated: orange and green yellow)

Note that (for anyone who doesn't know) the original factory colored Lancers were a lighter robin's egg blue:

Wow those look amazing but as a Tar Heel graduate I cannot deal with Duke blue.  I wonder how much you'd have to dilute the blue DyeMore to get Carolina Blue - the one on the right is the new "official" tone; personally I prefer the vintage one on the left, but either one would do.

Hmm... this Blue Devil alum is thinking that I need to order some clear Lancers and blue Rit dye now. That blue really is beautiful. I was tempted to select the option to "Block Images" in a your post just to get rid of those color samples. Come to think of it, that Robin's Egg Blue mag I posted above is a pretty hideous color, especially the floor plate...

I tried my first one today, and it came out like the middle one in your photo after a total of 45 min at ~200 F. I definitely didn’t use enough dye, so I tried tripling the amount (from 1 to 3 TBSP in about a quart of water) about 30 min into it, but it didn’t help much. I’ll try again tomorrow with a stronger solution from the start.
