They're both revision M.
Magpul tech support just answered my question, it's completely normal. The follower with the channel and gap between the feed lip is the newer variant. Thanks! |

Yes but did they tell you why it's changed? It seems to be some big secret & they won't answer that.

Nope, just that they're constantly trying to improve their quality/performance and that's it's the latest variant.

So what was wrong or what did they discover from 09-10 that prompted the change? That's all I'm asking. And they choose not to answer that.

To clarify, we have made literally dozens of tweaks to the PMAG over the last nearly four years. These were done not because of anything wrong with the older mags, but because we are never satisfied and are always trying to improve upon what we've already accomplished. This follower tweak was just one of many that's already been implemented, and one of many more to come. It's the hallmark of good manufacturing practices. |

I'll drop it. Pmags are great & I haven't had one fail. It's just me & the way I am. I like to have explanations.
