Most of the dry-moly finish is worn off of this example, revealing an orange-ish coating on the aluminum.

The follower is the older style Aluminum Alloy. It will tilt at the rear, but will not tilt forward. The feed lips do not connect to the spine of the magazine.

The floor plate is interesting since it appears to have never received any sort of finish. There are no remnants of a finish under the magazine body tabs, or on the interior of the floor plate. The inscription reads "[Colt Pony] COLT AR-15 CAL. .223 COLT'S PT. F. A. MFG. CO. INC. HARTFORD, CONN. U.S.A." The "bullet button" slot is the circular hole on the right side of the image.

The spine of the magazine reveals consistent spot welds, that are not evenly spaced.

The Aluminum Alloy follower. The spring looks like chrome-silicon as it is a black-ish color, and shows quite a bit of rust.

Most of the Dry-Moly finish remains on this magazine, as it is factory new and has seen little use. Under the Dry-Moly appears to be a pale finish.

The newer style black polymer follower. This follower will tilt forward or backward very much.

The spot welds on the spine are very consistent. They are evenly spaced.

The floor plate shows the disassembly method, as well as a MagPul logo. To disassemble, the dust cover, a cartridge tip, or a similar instrument is used to push in the central oblong piece. The floor plate is then slid forward off of the body.

Black polymer follower. Does not tilt forward, tilts rearward some.

No spot welds on this magazine.

Black polymer follower. The spring detaches very easily, it is stainless steel.

The body indicates that the magazine is stainless steel, and that it is designed for the .223Rem/5.56NATO cartridge.

The floorplate is also stainless steel. "CPRODUCTS LLC NEWINGTON CT"

A black polymer no-tilt follower. 5.56 is clearly marked on the follower.

The spine shows fairly consistent spot welds.

Definitely a no-tilt design. The spring is chrome silicon.

The interior of the follower displays an "SS", designating that this follower is only to be used in Stainless Steel bodies, not aluminum bodies.

Base plate is a unique design, due to the unique function of the magazine. "Cammenga HOLLAND MI, USA PATENT PENDING"

The follower is pressed steel. It has virtually no tilt, and rides very smoothly.

The spine lacks spot welds, since the two halves of the body are joined on the sides.

Disassembled, it is easy to see this magazine is not quite like the others. Disassembly is a bit tricky, but very doable. Simply wedge the base plate up slightly, and slide it half way off of the body. Then, insert the charging handle of your rifle into the body, and depress the spring. Finish removing the floor plate, and the rest comes apart easily. The spring is chrome silicon.

Looks just like a USGI magazine, except with black Teflon.

"5.56" lets you know what cartridge to use, since CProducts offers magazines for many cartridges.

The spot welds aren't pretty, but they work. It appears some sort of abrasive process was carried out to remove any rough edges from the spot welds.

The follower is no-tilt and rides smoothly. The spring is chrome silicon.

This is with a flash, the ceiling fan light, and a lamp I brought in to add more light...



Specifically, which pictures need some work? I can go back and try to clean them up in photoshop, or retake the pictures if necessary. The camera is still set up, all I have to do is press the button.
