I recently purchased two 30 round Brownell magazines and immediately had a jamming problem with both of them. While firing the fully loaded magazine a round would hang up on the leading edge of the magazine body (closest to the firing chamber). This happened 3 times in one magazine and twice in the other. It appeared that the neck of the brass case hung up rather than loading up the ramp and into the chamber. As a note, I was firing new Remington .55 ammo I purchased from Wally Mart.
I replaced the springs with Wolff brand springs and the problem continued. I finally cut the edge of the magazine body down 1/8th of an inch with a Dremel, dressing and smoothing the area. Both magazines work flawlessly now.
Has anyone else encountered the same problem?
Thanks
Jerry
