Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Magazine Cleaning?

I have a bunch of old mags in need of a good cleaning.  Could just take them apart and throw the mag bodies into a bucket with rubbing alcohol and go to town with a tooth brush?  My thinking is that this would be quicker than using soap and water.
