GI mags are generally going to have a CAGE code and date stamp on them. D&H, Okay, Center, Colt, etc. are USGI. Green followers are just the standard USGI anti-tilt followers, but it doesn't take much to tilt them. The grey and orange Magpul followers are a vast improvement, and do not tilt. The only difference between the grey and orange is the color.

IMO, the mag FAQ doesn't answer any of Frank's specific questions
 New manufactured mags from contract suppliers to the ARMY, which is the official supplier of all std. Gov't 30 rd. magazines to DOD & beyond, include: Center Ind Okay Ind / Colt Brownells Past suppliers include Labelle, Parsons, Sanchez, Cooper, etc. (lots of this in the FAQ) |
