Hey,

I have gotten back into shooting my 10/22. My son and nephew love shooting them. I have a bunch of Ruger 10 round factory mags and 2 25 Ramline mags. I am thinking of stocking up on a few 25+ rounders. I have read some negative things about the Ramlines. However, mine have always worked well.

What are your favorite 10/22 mags? Why do you like them? Is there a speed loader that works for them? Any reliable source vendors that sell at a good price?

Butler Creek? Ramline? MGWs? any others?

I have one of the MGW 50 round drums.  It actually works really well, but I wouldn't buy another one.  It's expensive and delicate.

I bought up a bunch of the steel-lipped Butler Creek 25 rounds mags when the ban expired.  They probably work the best of any I've tried, but they aren't 100%.

I've found that the only 100% reliable mags are the factory 10 rounders.

Butler Creek makes a nice little loading device for their mags.  It will load the factory mags too.

Where did you get them? I don't live close to any place that sells stuff like that. I am limited to the net.

30 Round Eagle Industries mags.  I have 6 from 1994 (pre-ban) and 7 from this year.  They cost about $15.00 each.  Great, reliable hi-caps.  BTW, they also make nice 10 rounders that you can tape together.

At natchezss, you can buy a pack of 3 BC hot lips mags for $13.95 a piece. I have gotten all I "need" for the moment. So buy away!

I got a standard 30 round butler creek mag, hot lips not the steel lips.

Took about 200 rounds to get to where it would feed reliably, but since then and after another 5000-6000 rounds it's worked 100%
