Anyone know of a supplier in the San Diego area?

Go to just about any industrial hardware store.  There are many brands.  Most are similar, though the exact shade of gray may vary.

mscdirect.com  $6 for 11oz spray can.  Worked well for me and pretty cheap.

Thanks. I saw 5 different types. Which one did you use and was it close to OEM?

If you want Mil Spec. Moly spray, you want "PermaSlik-G". Does a great job in restoring the original Dry Moly caot found on new USGI Mags.

Do a search and you'll find it. I think Georgia Precision used to carry it.

A LOT of moly dry lubes carry the same milspec number as PermaSilk.  As I said, there is nothing special about this stuff.

I bought the cheap stuff, the top green can.  I've used Perma-Slik in the past.  Between the two, the PS has a more GI authentic color.  The MSC product isn't as nice LOOKING, a bit darker than the GI color.  That said, I'm just looking to tidy up mags that I use very frequently.  Any sort of greying color is fine with me.  Every year or so I'll spend a few hours refinishing 20 mags, so any sort of greyish color is fine with me.

Recently, I've begun to refinish mags with Norells moly-resin.  Looks great and remains "cleaner" looking for a long time.

It's PermaSLIK..not Silk. Glad you know so much about it.
